Towards effective NAMAs

Mark van Wees has developed several NAMAs concepts (Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions) in the last year (in Armenia and Albania). Uncertainty regarding NAMA effectiveness in reducing GHG emissions tempers the willingness of potential funders to make investment decisions.

SQ Consult argues that using insights and methodologies available from the policy evaluation community could provide a fresh impulse in supporting the development and implementation of effective NAMA.
